Did you know that March is Severe Weather Preparation Month?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

While it may still feel like winter outside, it won\u2019t be long until spring arrives.\u00a0 And with it comes spring storms!\u00a0 Is your family prepared?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Spring weather will be here before we know it! \u00a0And now is the time to think about protecting your home and family.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

First things first, make sure you have designated a safe place to go to if the weather gets severe.<\/strong>\u00a0 It could be a basement, closet, or room with no windows or outside walls.\u00a0 Make sure this space is cleared out enough that you could easily get your family (and pets) inside if needed.\u00a0 (You don\u2019t want to be frantically clearing out the closet if there is a tornado!)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Next, put together a small emergency kit.<\/strong>\u00a0 What would you need if the power was out?\u00a0 Consider putting in flashlights, extra batteries, canned food, a weather radio and plenty of water.\u00a0 (Don\u2019t forget supplies for your pets too!)<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keep emergency phone numbers in your cell phone contacts<\/strong>, including the phone number for our office in case you need to make a claim.\u00a0 You could even save a note in your phone with your policy numbers too.<\/p>\n

If you do suffer damage, give us a call to report a claim once the danger has passed.\u00a0 We\u2019ll do everything we can to make the claim process simple and quick!<\/p>\n

While we can\u2019t prevent bad weather, it\u2019s always great to be as prepared as possible.\u00a0 Take care of your family first and know that we\u2019ll be there to protect your belongings.<\/p>\n
